The PECM process provides the highest level of precision on components that require high precision drilling or shaping. This makes PECM ideal for the following surface machining applications:
Contouring / Shaping: Creates a pre-defined irregular surface profile. This is accomplished through mapping of the cathode geometry into the workpiece.
Drilling: Creates intersecting holes in a component, either internally or externally.
Radiusing: Creates a defined edge rounding. An example is the treatment for gears.
Polishing: Optimizes the surface characteristics of the workpiece.
Flow Tuning: Creates a defined flow resistance through an orifice.
Deburring: Removes burrs at bore exits and at intersected holes in a workpiece caused by drilling.
